How to use EXIF Metadata Remover
- Load a static JPEG or PNG; the tool validates that it can be decoded.
- Review the supported metadata container categories found.
- Remove metadata and download the copy after its supported containers have been checked again.
Formats and limitations
Supports JPEG application/comment segments and PNG ancillary chunks, preserving pixel data and PNG transparency. Color profiles may be removed. It does not inspect every individual EXIF field or remove information visible in the image, unknown embedded data or external filenames. Animated PNG is rejected.
Privacy and temporary data
Inspection and removal happen locally. GPS values, camera identifiers and the image are never sent to analytics or logs.
